HERITAGE SPECIALISTS SHARE THE UNFORGETTABLE LOTS THEY’D LOVE TO GIVE — OR RECEIVE — THIS FATHER’S DAY, FROM COVETED COMICS AND BASEBALL CARDS TO LUXURY WATCHES AND WESTERN ART
By Rhonda Reinhart | June 2, 2026
Father’s Day gifts tend to fall into familiar territory: another tie, another grilling gadget, another pair of socks destined for the back of the drawer. But for collectors, the perfect gift is something far more personal: an object with character, rarity, and a story worth telling. That’s where Heritage Auctions comes in. The following gift guide gathers standout selections chosen by Heritage specialists across a wide range of categories, from fine jewelry and timepieces to comic books, sports cards, Western art, and pop culture memorabilia. The result is a highly personal collection of recommendations that reflects not only the breadth of Heritage’s auctions, but also the passions and personalities of the experts who know these objects best.

SEBASTIAN’S PICKS
Sebastian Clarke | Director of Business Development, Florida

“Forget sand. This De Beers diamond hourglass uses 36 carats of rough diamonds to track 10 minutes. The ultimate desk trophy, it’s a drop-dead chic conversation piece for a home office and a literal way to show that a father’s time is precious.” Available in Heritage’s June 15 Fine Jewelry & Timepieces Signature® Auction, Hong Kong.

“This diamond and white gold brooch is the sharpest way to elevate a tuxedo lapel for gala season. It’s clean, articulated, and provides just the right amount of weight and sparkle for a sophisticated formal look.” Available in Heritage’s June 15 Fine Jewelry & Timepieces Signature® Auction, Hong Kong.

“This Cartier Tortue Perpetual Calendar is a mechanical masterpiece in 18k yellow gold. Between the iconic tortue case and the perpetual calendar movement, it’s a killer watch that balances horological nerdery with pure, timeless style.” Available in Heritage’s June 15 Fine Jewelry & Timepieces Signature® Auction, Hong Kong.

CHRISTIANNE’S PICKS
Christianne Teague | Consignment Director, Fine & Decorative Arts

“Get your dad the boat he’s been asking for! This sailboat sculpture was skillfully crafted from Calcedonia glass, a special type of Murano glass known for its cloudy, swirled mix of colors that can look almost like stone or marble. The technique dates back to Venetian glassmakers in the 1400s, and artists like Dino Rosin use it to create pieces with rich, layered patterns where no two are exactly alike.” Available in Heritage’s June 4 Luxe Moderne Showcase Auction.

“These Reflections Copenhagen Soho bookends make a great Father’s Day gift because they’re practical but still feel artistic and different from a typical desk or office gift. The bold colors and geometric crystal design give them a modern look, and they have great shelf appeal since the glass catches and reflects light in a way that really stands out on a bookshelf or desk.” Available in Heritage’s June 4 Luxe Moderne Showcase Auction.

MICHAEL’S PICKS
Michael Buehring | Deputy Chief Cataloger, Comics & Comic Art

“Give the gift of rocking out with KISS this Father’s Day with a high-grade copy of the legendary rock band’s Marvel debut, which famously blended drops of the band members’ blood into the issue’s red ink, creating one of comics’ most outrageous and memorable production stories.” Available in Heritage’s June 13 Certified Magazines Showcase Auction.

“DC’s Absolute line, featuring modern updates to their classic heroes like Batman — now reimagined with a darker, more brutal edge — is the hottest thing in comics at the moment. This popular variant cover highlights one of this newer, more violent version of Batman’s defining traits: the bat logo on his chest, which can be removed to double as a gnarly bat-shaped axe. Perfect for the dad who wants to keep up with the cool kids!” Available in Heritage’s June 7-9 Comic Books Select Auction.

“An entry-level copy of one of the most important debuts in comic book history: Wolverine! With vibrant cover colors that belie its VG 4.0 grade, this is a copy that screams ‘ballin’ on a budget’ — something cash-conscious dads everywhere can appreciate, especially fans of classic first appearances and Bronze Age keys.” Available in Heritage’s June 7-9 Comic Books Select Auction.

ALISSA’S PICKS
Alissa Ford | Vice President, American & Western Art

“Monarch of the Whispering Pines (1891) is a rare-to-market, monumental work that exemplifies Richard Friese’s mastery at the height of his career. Originally exhibited at the Germanic National Museum, the painting was later acquired by the chairman of PepsiCo, who prominently displayed it in his Park Avenue penthouse residence. As a patient of the current owner’s grandfather, the chairman gifted the work to the family after the grandfather expressed admiration for it during a dinner visit. The poetic and deeply contemplative painting, which invites viewers to pause and reflect upon the beauty and complexity of the natural world, has remained in the same family collection for the past 57 years.” Available in Heritage’s June 18 Western Art Signature® Auction.

“Charles Schreyvogel’s bronze The Last Drop captures a quiet but powerful moment after battle, as a cavalryman offers the last of his water to his exhausted horse. Modeled from the same clay study used for a related painting, the work reflects Schreyvogel’s commitment to realism through the detailed depiction of the rider’s emotion, the horse’s worn physique, and their frontier equipment. More importantly, the sculpture highlights the deep bond between horse and rider in the American West, portraying the horse not as mere equipment, but as a trusted companion whose endurance and partnership were essential to survival.” Available in Heritage’s June 18 Western Art Signature® Auction.

“Night Passage (1985) is a masterful nocturne depicting two cowboys and their packhorse riding into the evening beside a warmly lit cabin set against cool blue-gray mountains and sky. G. Harvey uses the contrast between the cabin’s golden glow and the surrounding darkness to create emotional depth and a cinematic atmosphere, while also presenting an idealized vision of the American West that honors the resilience, labor, and quiet dignity of cowboys.” Available in Heritage’s June 18 Western Art Signature® Auction.

MIKE’S PICKS
Mike Provenzale | Production Manager, Sports & Memorabilia

“Fathers get no greater joy than seeing their children succeed, and Ken Griffey Jr. is one of the greatest examples of this, following his father into the Majors and even exceeding his accomplishments. This Griffey Jr. signed rookie card is coveted among card collectors, both fathers and their children alike.” Available in Heritage’s July 10-11 Summer Sports Card Catalog Auction.

“There’s nothing fathers enjoy more than running the grill at home. This 1961 card issue from Ohio’s Kahn’s Wieners meat company were included inside packages of their hot dogs, giving your fatherly grill master an extra treat as he prepares a cookout. The auction featuring this card and the Griffey Jr. card takes place a couple of weeks after Father’s Day, but they’re both worth the wait.” Available in Heritage’s July 10-11 Summer Sports Card Catalog Auction.

JIM’S PICKS
Jim Lentz | Vice President and Director, Animation & Anime Art

“This 4-foot-tall store display designed by Paul Stanley for the Burgermeister Brewing Corporation is at the top of my ‘cool’ list for this year’s edition of our annual The Art of Everything Cool auction. Designed by Stanley in the 1960s, the display was one of his intricate, moving 3D advertisements, which were produced in exceedingly small quantities. They are so rare, in fact, that it is believed that only 10 of these Burgermeister Beer displays were ever made.” Available in Heritage’s June 19-21 The Art of Everything Cool Vol. VIII Signature® Auction.

“At 6 feet, 6 inches tall, The Dark Knight is larger than life in this never-sold-to-the-public fiberglass Batman display from the Warner Bros. Studio Store. The stunningly detailed statue showcases the famous blue, gray, and yellow suit widely associated with Carmine Infantino and Neal Adams’ version of the character. This statue and the Burgermeister Beer display both qualify as excellent Father’s Day gifts if my children would be so inclined to bid and buy them for me! I doubt if we will ever see either of these in any future Heritage auctions.” Available in Heritage’s June 19-21 The Art of Everything Cool Vol. VIII Signature® Auction.
