Editor Pick 1

Robert Indiana’s fusion of commercial art and fine art often carried deep personal and cultural significance. As a key figure in the Pop Art movement, his style was marked by bold colors, graphic simplicity and the use of everyday symbols. Indiana’s most iconic creation, LOVE, transcended its initial commercial use, evolving into a symbol of peace and unity that resonated worldwide. This 1967 screenprint on wove paper is a play on the artist’s original LOVE design.

That Bettie Page pout is the star of the show in this bold pin-up image captured by Bunny Yeager in 1954. The shoots between the two introduced the world to a new side of Page, and the connection between the model and photographer would prove enduring. Yeager helped Page keep connected with her fan base in her later years, and the name recognition Yeager had due to the pairing helped lead to her gaining the critical acclaim that had eluded her for much of her career.
