Ansel Adams’ Winter Morning, Yosemite Valley, California is among the photographer’s most recognizable landscapes. In 1969, Hills Bros. Coffee commissioned Adams to adapt the image for a limited-edition coffee can, transforming an everyday household object into an unexpected canvas for one of America’s greatest photographic artists. The collaboration reflected the growing appreciation of Adams’ work beyond the museum and gallery, introducing his iconic imagery to millions of homes while underscoring his influence on American visual culture.

Kermit the Frog makes an enchanting appearance with this architectural ornamentation that once adorned the inner theater of Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®. The recently closed attraction was Jim Henson’s final major project before his death in 1990, created in collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering. This faux marble piece featuring Kermit holding a megaphone and crowned with laurels was one of several, each of which could be seen perched atop the double doors leading into and out of the main theater.
