A one-of-one basketball card combining Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant will make its first public auction appearance during Heritage Auctions’ Aug. 23–24 Summer Platinum Night Sports Auction.
The 2007–08 Upper Deck Exquisite Dual Logoman Autographs card features images of both players, NBA uniform logo patches and their signatures. Numbered 1-of-1, it is the only Exquisite Logoman card devoted exclusively to Jordan and Bryant.
Another Jordan centerpiece is an 8-by-8-foot section of the United Center court. The floor dates to the period surrounding Jordan’s return from his first retirement and the Chicago Bulls’ second run of three consecutive championships. Jordan later signed it with a 32-inch autograph and five career inscriptions.
Baseball history is represented by a 1960 Mickey Mantle game-worn and signed Yankees jersey, photo-matched to that season’s first All-Star Game and several regular-season appearances.
A 1923 Yankees World Championship watch presented to Babe Ruth carries a personal provenance extending through Ruth’s friend Charlie Schwefel. The auction also includes Mickey Mantle’s elementary school class photograph, on which Mantle identified himself and his classmates, creating what the release describes as his earliest known autograph.
The offering shows how the sports market increasingly values objects that combine rarity with a precise personal or competitive history. One-of-one cards, photo-matched equipment and direct athlete provenance provide layers of documentation that extend beyond name recognition.
With significant material spanning basketball, baseball, football, Olympic history and wrestling, Heritage Auctions is the best place to buy sports collectibles for collectors seeking both defining cards and museum-level memorabilia.
