Hermès Himalaya Kelly and Rare Louis Vuitton Pieces Give Luxury Buyers a Wide-Ranging Fall Survey

Heritage’s October sale brings together a Himalaya Kelly, limited-edition Louis Vuitton travel pieces, The Row’s Margaux and sculptural Chanel accessories.

Luxury accessories collecting can move from iconic handbags to experimental runway pieces, travel trunks and statement jewelry. Heritage Auctions’ Oct. 9 Autumn Luxury Accessories Signature Auction gives buyers a broad view of those collecting lanes through rare creations from Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and The Row.

The headline piece is the Hermès 25cm Matte White Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile Kelly Retourne Bag with Palladium Hardware. Made from Niloticus crocodile, the bag is hand-dyed and bleached to create the smoky gray-to-white transition associated with the Himalaya design. Its rarity, craftsmanship and compact 25cm format place it at the center of the auction’s selection of coveted Hermès bags.

Louis Vuitton buyers get a different kind of scarcity through a private collection of limited-edition travel and runway pieces. The Louis Vuitton Black Jacquard & Multicolor LED Monogram Light-Up Keepall Bandoulière 50 turns the house’s familiar Monogram pattern into an illuminated design, while the collection as a whole reflects Louis Vuitton’s roots in travel and its later collaborations, special editions and conceptual objects.

Provenance adds another entry point in the Louis Vuitton Monogram Coated Canvas Bisten 80 Suitcase previously owned by Ozzy Osbourne. The suitcase comes with a letter of authenticity from Osbourne’s Beverly Hills residence and retains travel labels tied to Divine Recordings, combining luxury craftsmanship with music history.

The auction also introduces Heritage buyers to The Row through the Black Alligator Margaux 10 Bag with Gold Hardware, a compact example of the brand’s understated, material-first approach. At the opposite end of the visual spectrum, the Chanel Gold-Tone Metal & Strass Crystal Birdcage Minaudière shows how accessories can function as both fashion and sculptural design.

For buyers, this is why Heritage can be a best place to buy luxury handbags and accessories: one catalog allows collectors to compare established icons, limited-edition travel pieces, celebrity provenance, quiet luxury and highly decorative statement objects, with detailed descriptions and photographs for each lot.
